Facilities

IST Building

The Center occupies space in the new IST Building with other groups engaged in related research. This space accommodates a library, an administrative assistant's space, meeting facilities, and collaborative space. Affiliated faculty have their own offices and research assistants have individual carrels near the Center. Faculty and graduate/undergraduate students work in the shared space, as needed, on collaborative projects.

Laboratory Space

The Center includes two purpose-built laboratories equipped for observation and experimental research. These and other center labs are outfitted with an array of computing hardware, software systems and applications, media technology, and study recording devices to support empirical work in human-computer interaction and collaborative computing. A key strategic focus of the Center is development of a shared research infrastructure for advanced research and teaching in human-computer interaction.
